Rumson, N.J. - The Lacrosse season is well underway for the Rumson and Fair Haven 1st and 2nd grade girls!
Under the direction of the amazing Monmouth University Lacrosse Coach, Jordan Trautman, the players have been improving every week. With the help of some sensational parent-coaches, the girls are learning not only learning the game, they are also having a blast!
Coach George’s fitness ladder has proven to be the highlight for some of the more agile players. Other stations such as scooping, passing and London Bridge have also become clinic favorites as well.
The first graders were clearly eager to return to the field on Saturday, May 8 for more great lacrosse action.
In the meantime, the 2nd graders have truly begun hitting their stride. Harley Sullivan said it best “Lacrosse is fun and easy to learn”. 2nd grader Piper Delaney (pictured with Coach
Trautman and Coach Delaney) echoed similar sentiments, noting “Lacrosse is super fun and all the coaches are very nice”.
The program will roll on for several more weeks as the “Little Laxers” continue to learn, improve and have fun. Fans are excited to see improvement week-to-week as the players are really grasping the fundamentals. After watching a few weeks of these amazing athletes, fans may want to pre-order their tickets for an RFH State Championship game in 10 years!
The athletes also displayed a classy move by wishing all the Mom’s a Happy Mother’s Day. Lastly, a special thanks to all the parents for staying on top of the COVID questionnaire. We look forward to more 1st and 2nd grade LAX GREATNESS in the weeks to come!
