Oh, What A Season It Was!

Rumson NJ - After the oddest off-season in the history of sports, the gals of Rumson stepped up in a big way for what proved to be a magical season. The girls pitched, hit, ran and threw their way to greatness throughout the Two River Little League (TRLL) Spring Season. More important than the final records, was the sportsmanship and class our players displayed throughout the season.

Our (softball) hats are certainly off to the incredible work of our volunteer coaches this season. Coaches Sophinos (x2), Herr, Dellbene, Kliewe, Baker, Farina, Hall, Bruno, Brown, Walz and Murphy all did a phenomenal job. Not only did they manage superbly on the diamond, but they handled a season with minimal Spring practices and safely maneuvered through the various Covid protocols. Although two of our Rumson teams were known as “The Pride”, pride is exactly what all these young athletes showed this season. Congrats to the Cool Cats, Wild, Commotion and Pride for making 2021 an unforgettable one. The program does not exist without these selfless coaches volunteering their time for the girls.

As the season has now drawn to a close, we wish all the players a fun and safe off-season. Thank you to all the families who participated. Fans are confident the streak of excellence will continue in 2022!
