In a unique twist of events, the normal adult managers of the Rumson Red Wings Rookie team took the day off and yielded control to some of their players.
The youngsters played the role of the skippers, taking the reigns as they made a variety of brilliant coaching decisions and line-up moves. They even made a mound visit to pep talk their pitcher, proving to be an effective strategy on the diamond.
The young players handled their roles impressively to rave reviews from the fans. Though their playing careers are far from over, a career in managing an MLB ball club may be in their futures. Credit goes to the following up-and-coming baseball gurus for their managerial efforts:
