After a long 4th of July weekend, the boys and girls of Rumson’s Summer Hoops League got underway on the 5th. The action quickly heated up, matching the warm temperatures inside Rogers and Victory Parks and the players were happy to “Return to balling” after a 2020 hiatus.
The evening of games featured tons of great basketball action including two buzzer beaters, two overtime games and even the rare basketball tie game. A big thanks goes out to the volunteer coaches who stepped up to organize the teams. It was also wonderful to see good crowds of fans, who have been eager for some time to watch some quality action on the hardcourt.
The action will continue on Monday and Wednesday night (with a few early Thursday games) throughout July concluding on August 5th. Everyone is looking forward to continue the hot start and have a sensational 2021 season.
